JOURNEY INTO FREEDOM

Hello good people welcome back to my article-The Journey Into Freedom

By Langat Nathan

Campus life is one of the wonderful stage in life, where every individual person who sits for their national  examination dreams of joining university and persue the dream course. As a parent you would be happy when you son or daughter secure a vacancy in a university. This reminds me the feeling I had when I receive my admission letter from the University of my choice,TUM. I knew God has rewarded my years of hard work in highschool.

First of all unless of strict private university like Daystar Kenya Highlands, campus life is basically living by your own regulations or few rules or even no rules at all. The behavior code and list of regulations exist but in theory. You can attend classes or not the choice is yours but remember you're required to pass in your exams. Yes campus life is full of fun and entertainment and all sorts of different activities both good and bad, it depends on how you spent your free time.
At this point student life can either change for the best  or worst. This changes are experience widely in second year.
The mode of dressing and hairstyle. This applies to both gender during the first year ladies were spotted in long oversized dresses and normal hairstyle. On the other side men too will be seen in loose fitting trousers and the official shirts. At that period they were looking young innocent freshers. Little did their parents knew they were wasting their resources, selling cows to educate other cows. The innocence of first year has been taken away by the faces of campus. At this point mode of dressing has totally change, ladies will be spotted in mini-skirts, skirts with uncovered belly dressings commonly known as "Tumbo cut" Guys on the other side are sagging their trousers to knee level to show how civilised they are with long hairs. Also you will notice that their walking style have change, you will see them walking while their bouncing like tennis ball as they walk to classes holding their girlfriends hand in the name of love.
You will agree with that nowdays party after party is common trend  in our campuses. Clubs around the institution have become part of students schedule. This way of life has left many students with alot of consequences such as infections, murder, rape and even pregnances, but who is to be blame?
Remember you can make your campus life enjoyable and memorable this is by:
√Being organize remember in campus their is no one to supervise you
√Indulging yourself in academic activities, sports drama
√Surrounding yourself with friends you similar beliefs and moral stardards and don't be alone.
√Being courageous and confident enough to turn down anything that may compromise your morals.
√Prioritizing your on studies that's the main reason why you are in University.
And my last word remember cops and comrades are not friends and neither will they be. Ask any student who have ever participated in strike...
