As cases of Corona virus outbreaks continues to snpread across the globe. Kenyans are now left worried and in great fear. There are increasing questions being raised wether Kenyan government would tackle this deadly virus this is as result that Kenya has few well equipped with health facilities. So far World Health Organization has declare Corona virus, which upto date has claimed over 2000 lives and left over 75000 affected globally,The Global Emergency.
By the beginning of this month, March infections had been confirm in at least 55 countries including three in Africa continent : Algeria, Egypt and Nigeria. Despite numerous false alarm, their is not yet confirm case of this virus in Kenya. However Kenyan government has been slow in enacting measures to prevent the entry of the virus getting into the country. Kenya being a developing country in East Africa is still lacking behind in medical and health care .As results of this many have been left in doubt wether Kenya would be able to fight against the virus, if it will strike us.
It was not until last week when the government established a National Response Committee in order to overlook on this emerging global threat. This clearly shows how our Kenyan government is slow to taking quick reaction, the first case of COVID-19 virus was reported in Wuhan City, China in December last year 2019. But we as Kenyans we normally wait until the catastrophe strike on us so as to take action to tackle them.
Eventhough Kenyan government has been slow recently it joined other African countries in suspending their air flights to China. Were not the public pressure and union to pressurized the government to stop the flights there could be still continuetion of flights to China. The Law Society of Kenya went to High Court focusing on the suspension of all flights to and from China.
However the government decision to allow southern Airline plane carrying 239 passengers to land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on February 26 infruriated Kenyans despite that assurance that the passengers had been screened on board and advise  to self  quarantine for the next 14 days.

So far governments in sub Saharan Africa countries are busy taking steps to evacuate their students in Wuhan China. Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Mauritius, Mauritania, Seychelles, Tunisia and South Africa have already evacuated their students. But what is wrong with us Kenyans do our government really understand  the fear, the parents of students who are Wuhan are passing through. Last month while in Washington DC president Uhuru Kenyatta made a promise  to evacuate it's citizens from Wuhan, China. To date not even a single have been evacuated by the Kenyan government. The big question remains that "Does president Uhuru loves his country?".
