A weekend without any sporting activity is really boring. The current situation in the country and different parts of the world has made our sweet weekends to appear like any other normal days. Corona!Corona! namely the civid 19 disease has turn ways of doing things more different ; keeping social distance , avoiding crowd and staying home is the current anthem. Nowadays a weekends is not the weekend we use to have in previous months before the outbreak of this scary disease brought by the Corona virus. In those days weekend marks the special day in everyone calendar. Friday being the last day to weekend was the greatest day, every single individual face shines with a smile, many break earlier to their homes from there working places in the name of ushering in of weekend.
Remember weekend were the days when several sporting events were scheduled to take place include various league fixtures in different parts of the continents amongst them was the famous English premier league which attracts alot of fans world-wide. But due Corona virus pandemic a range of various sporting activities were either cancelled or postponed. At first the disease was not taken seriously  and some of sports such as soccer were allowed to continue with their competitions without their club fans in the pitch for instance UEFA champion league and Europa league competitions took place without fans in the pitch eg Juventus vs Inter Milan and Manchester United vs Club Brurge.

But things took another around when  Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta and Chelsea winger Callun Hudson Odoi tested positive for Corona virus, Everton entire first team squad and coaching staff undertook a period of self isolation after the first team player reported symptoms consistent with Corona virus  while Leicester player showed same symptoms and at the same time Bournemouth announced five of their employees including goalkeeper Artur Boruc were isolated having display symptoms consistent with virus.
Those cases raise an alarm and UEFA had no time to waste ,they announced all champion league and Europa league matches schedule for March were postponed as well as the quarter finals draws for both competitions. FIFA  also cancelled all the international fixtures which were to take place in March and April.Women Super League and FA women championship were postponed by Football Association. Our country also was left behind KPL matches was postponed and even international sports were cancelled.
The postponement of various sporting activities moreso football disappointed many fans, as most of football competitions were on their peak, for instance in EPL Liverpool had only three matches in hand in order to lift the EPL tittle. Also the champion league and Europa league were on their knock out stages and stiff competitions were very high.
But here in Kenya despite the fact that all sporting activities has been called off I recently noticed it's not yet over, their is a challenge namely curfew 6:59....
